Email notification

ok, I know I was gonna write about the housewarming, it's just that I've been looking for some kind of widget to send e-mail notification for friends subscribing to my blog, and I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I'm not so keen on relying to a third party thing that will access my mailing list addresses, but I don't have a server space to script this either, so I actually think I might "have to" use something like feedburner... oh, well...
